The prieuré is the case of a jewel of the Gothic art, its chapel. But it joins in a landscape.

The site of the prieuré of Bray enjoys a symbolic position on the tray(plateau) of Valois in which lands are also rich as the history.
It contains the chapel, the dovecote, cellars (all classified in conformance with Ancient memorials), a set of buildings(ships) around two "farmyards" as well as about twenty hectares of fields.

Since its arrival seven years ago, the Sirot Saunier family began(affected) important works and wishes, in support of the association of the friends of the Prieuré, to pursue the refitting(reorganization) of the whole site within the framework of a big global project intended to restore in Prieuré its vocation of workroom, reception and exchanges. The frame of a big global project intended to restore in Prieuré its vocation of workplace reception and exchanges.

Sight of Prieuré, taken since a satellite (pulled(fired) of http: // maps.google.fr)

Placed on a natural cape overhanging the brook Aunette, he(it) remains isolated but keep(preserve) narrow links with the outside world and the village of Bray on Aunette.

As any abbatial foundation or priorale, the choice of the site was fundamental:

  • A calcareous cape

  •  A woody valley underlined by a stream

  • The omnipresent plain as far as the eye can see: the chapel is the point of reference in the landscape: refuge builds in the middle of a space

  • Fenced in in its walls, a quiet prieuré and its farmyard
